about us

"Khmer Calendars" started out as a dream, that became and idea, and with the help of a few wonderful ladies, is now a reality.

It has alway been a dream of mine to give the women of my country some shine and show the world that the beauty from the Kingdom of Cambodia is not just the Angkor Ruins, or the lush forrest and scenic farmlands, it is the woman of our country. Our mothers, sisters, nieces, and daughters. Maybe Im being biases but I can think of no other race of woman that I would bring home to mother. ;) I am proud to be Khmer for many things, but the woman of Cambodia has no equal in my heart.

The ladies in this Calendar are first and second generation Khmer Americans, their parents and grand parents are survivors of the killing fields. Through the tragedy of their family history they have manage to flourish in this country. They are American but at their core they are Khmer.

Their beauty defies it, but these ladies are not professional models, they are hardworking everyday Khmer American woman. They live in the community they represent, you may see them at the gym or in your local Khmer markets. Each girl in this Calendar was specifically chosen to be apart of this project not just for her beauty, but because she carries that Khmer essences. They are hardworking ladies who live with honor, move with courage, and are very well respected by their peers. These ladies represent the new breed of Khmer woman and they do it with real grace.

I hold them in the highest regard..

To all Khmer woman from around the world I make this promise, as a Khmer man, "to always love, cherish, protect and never allow anyone to look down on you", the beautiful woman of my country..

This Calendar is my gift to honor you ladies, and all the Khmer woman from around the world who are representing our culture from countries all across this planet. You make me Proud to be Khmer. - SSC (editor/producer of KC)
